Deoma (Dee) Moseley always enjoyed drawing and other creative pursuits and began experimenting with oil paints in the early 1960’s, She later tried acrylic paints but noticed that when attending art shows she was always drawn to the watercolors. So, when she moved to Edisto upon retirement in 1993, she began painting Edisto landmarks in watercolor. Her paintings of lilies were twice selected by the Easter Seal Society and printed as Easter Seals in 2011 and 2013. She paints less these days but has recently enjoyed exploring collage and abstract art. Her favorite quote is, “The true artist finds joy in any creative work.”
