Kameren Brown

Artist & BIM Designer | Painter | Creative Professional

I’m a 23-year-old painter and multidisciplinary artist from the Maryland/D.C. (DMV) area with a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. My journey began in elementary school and deepened in middle and high school, where I began self-teaching myself oil painting — the medium that continues to shape my creative identity.

Driven by a desire to fuse creativity with structure, I pursued a degree in Architecture and Building Information Modeling (BIM), blending artistic intuition with technical precision. I bring two years of Revit experience through internships and academic training at the University of Maryland, where I honed my skills in digital design and spatial thinking.

During high school and college, I worked at Arts on the Block, a mosaic art studio where I collaborated with professional artists and immersed myself in public art and community-based design. This experience enriched my perspective and instilled a deep appreciation for art as a tool for connection and transformation.

My work in portraiture explores identity, memory, and emotional nuance often using the human form as a vessel to express broader narratives about the Black experience, vulnerability, and selfhood. Whether on canvas or in CAD, my practice is grounded in observation, storytelling, and a commitment to thoughtful design.
