The Edisto Players
Who are the Edisto Players?
The Edisto Players are a group who enjoy the challenges of bringing a printed script to life on the stage. This involves everything from carpentry, costume and set design, to stage crew and acting in the play. Plays are chosen by November of each year, and performed in March of the following year. Look for posters around Edisto announcing the date and time and place to read for a part in the play in November. Members will receive email announcements.
Come join us for our next production. All are welcome, regardless of experience level. Contact us for more information.

A History of the edisto players
The Edisto Players have been performing a “mostly” annual play for appreciative Edisto audiences for more than 25 years!
It all began back in 1992 with a production of Daddy’s Dyin’ Who’s Got the Will presented under a tent on a tennis court on the Fairfield Ocean Ridge resort.
The group was revived in 1994 with a production of Greater Tuna which was “staged” in what was then a vacant room in the Pavilion. The rest is history with an annual play almost every year since then.
Take a stroll down memory lane with our photographic history of The Edisto Players.
